Don't expect to receive satellite reception as you are surrounded by steep mountains on all sides. This is an extremely nice campground with great possibilities for family recreation. Our only problem is with the lack of an alcohol policy making this campground somewhat unacceptable for families with small children or those wishing to enjoy an outdoor experience without the worries associated with people drinking. After our latest episode with kids drinking in this campground, we prefer to just use the boat launch and picnic sites here and camp at the privately owned Kenai River Campground in Cooper Landing.
